ART / INSTITUTIONS / MUSEUMS

Museumsquartier
www.mqw.at
Museumsplatz 1/5, 1070 Wien
The Museumsquartier is a cultural complex combining the baroque buildings of the old Summer Riding School with contemporary architecture. It comprises a variety of cultural institutions, ranging from the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna (MUMOK) to the Kunsthalle Wien and the Leopold Museum. The Quartier 21, hosts a variety of smaller cultural institutions, open to the public. Also of interest might be a couple of shops, mostly run by Vienna´s young creatives. We recommend to visit the following institutions or museums:

Kunsthalle Wien
www.kunsthallewien.at
Museumsplatz 1, 1070 Wien

The Kunsthalle is Vienna´s largest exhibition venue for international contemporary art. In addition to the larger exhibition space at the Museumsquartier, there is a smaller project space at the Karlsplatz nearby.
